My friends want to check out Slots O Fun but I heard it was kinda creepy and lots of pickpockets. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I've walked through many times and they have the very very best Frozen Margaritas for a mere 75 cents. They are next door to Circus Circus. If you're passing by try that drink.

I wouldn't worry about pickpockets - that's nonsense. Slots O Fun is a dump though - thanks to a even bigger dump right next door, the very rundown Circus Circus. I wouldn't even walk into either one anymore. 10 years ago, maybe. Times change - so should your friends wants.

Slots -o-fun is one of the more fun dinosaurs of Vegas. When my buddies and I would come up there, it was required that we had at least one breakfast there of several 99-cent Coronas and those huge plates of fish & chips or buffalo wings. It's one of those Vegas landmarks that just has to be experienced.

I agree with Papadon, if you want to experiance a little bit of old Vegas, go for it. If your going to be on the strip at least you are not traveling out of your way in case you want to leave real fast.

And don't forget the buffalo wings.

Hey Boston Bill

Just wanted to reply to inquiry re Slots of Fun Casino. I have been going there for over 30 years.

I have found the employees of Slots of Fun (that includes the Manager of the Casino) to be some of the nicest people in Las Vegas. I usually play the grave yard shift and consider them my Las Vegas friends. Their cocktail service is the fastest in Las Vegas no matter what time of day or night. I, personally, will be the saddest person in Las Vegas if the Slots of Fun is torn down. The same applies for Circus Circus. Wonderful employees and service.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the employees and management of Slots of Fun for wonderful years of friendship and hangovers.

The only pickpockets are the dealers when they get 21.

We went to Slots of Fun on our last trip in June and even though it was kind of dumpy, they had alot of my old favorite slots that I couldn't find on the strip until then. And the drink service was excellent. Take a chance your in Vegas.

There are two good reasons to hit Slots A Fun:
1) dollar heinekens
2) the dollar craps table that is all but out on the street. No better place to break in a newbie craps player. Squeeze in on the rail, drop a twenty on the felt, and don't forget to place a two-way now and then.

I never miss a chance to stop in here. Circus Circus, on the other hand...

Years ago as a tourist I wanted to exeperiance all of Las Vegas, that includes the most expensive resorts to the local dives, go and enjoy.

The truth is a pickpocket can and will strike in any area of Vegas, just use common sense and be protective of your valuables.
