Default Printer margin, help

A recently bought a HP 1315 PSC. I'm having trouble getting it to print the full width of the page. Can somebody please help me?

Please be a bit more elaborate in your description of the problem. Every printer has a margin where it will not print. HP has a bottom margin of .67 of an inch and less on the sides and top.

Since the all-in-one 1315 PSC has the copy function have you tried to copy a 8.5 x 11 inch image that uses the entire page?

Or is it software you are using that does not allow you to set the margins?

What programs are you using that will not print the full with of the page?

Do you have ACDSee, Compupic, Infanview or any graphic program, as these programs normally have simple yet great controls for image size and position on the page?

Did you have any problems installing the printer using the CD supplied with this printer?

Please provide more information, allowing someone to provide assistance.

Please bear with me, as I am computer illiterate. I'm using the HP Director software, and I've tried various size page setups 8.5 x 11, 8.5x 14, etc both on the page setup there and on windows xp toolbar. The actual margins are set for the standard 3/4 inch. The actual margins are fine, but how do I get it to print the entire page I'm viewing on my monitor? Hope this is clear enough.

Thanks namida12, I figured it out. Page setup under files wasn't saving for some reason now it is. Thanks.

Are you printing off a website or using Word persay. Some websites dont print what you see on the screen. If in Word. then I would go to my printer and make sure the margins are set correctly. If okay you can then go into your print set up and either decrease or increase margins headers etc. You can choose print preview before printing to see if it is the way you want it to print.
